SOMA welcomes Lagom to our upcoming marketplace launch
Lagom (Swedish for ‘just the right amount’) celebrates minimalism ‘perfectly defined by the natural beauty of simplicity,’ according to founder Daniel Hansson. A native of Stockholm, Hansson has lived 10 years in Hong Kong, which he considers his second home. Lagom’s aesthetic synthesizes his feeling of both places: ‘the moderation and coldness of Hong Kong and the quaintness of Stockholm.’
Each Lagom watch has a stainless steel case with ‘handcrafted acetate pattern.’ Swiss Ronda quartz movement with 3-year battery. Removable springbar for easy strap change. Speaking of straps, Lagom’s are made of soft Italian cow leather. All around, a good watch for it’s pricepoint.
SOMA goes live in late April. Our social marketplace is 1 part social media platform for sharing our love of watches, 1 part ecommerce for safe and instant transactions, and 1 part authentication & tracking protocol. (This latter gets technical, but basically it means we create a digital identity for each watch that stores ownership history, documents and media about the watch, and proofs of its provenance/originality).
